Southaven police are working to help one of their own whose family lost all their possessions in a Wednesday house fire.

Officer Porcha Taylor, a married mother of two, was left with only the clothing she wore to work after their home burned to the ground. Chief Steve Pirtle said Taylor, who has worked for Southaven about three years, has a daughter who is 7 and a son who is 12. He asked for his community to step up and help serve her in return for her service to them.
