The man in charge of curriculum for Mississippi’s largest public school district is poised to take a leadership role as the head of DeSoto County’s largest private school.

According to sources close to the situation, long-term plans call for Jim Ferguson, Chief Academic Officer of High Schools in the DeSoto County School District, to eventually transition into the position as Northpoint’s president after a period of time.

Initially, plans call for Ferguson to assume the role of vice president at Northpoint, one of the largest private schools in the region, in the interim.
