There is nothing better than being able to share incredible, educational experiences with your child.

Yesterday, my daughter and I had Tea at the Governor’s Mansion with First Lady Deborah Bryant.  We were so happy to have my daughter’s principal, Claudette Smith, and a teacher from her school, Amy Wallace, join us for the day.  The mansion was decorated beautifully for Christmas.  There was a great group of women, from all over the state, that congregated for this event.  DeSoto County had a great turnout and represented well.

After the Tea, a small group of ladies from DeSoto toured the state Capitol.  We were able to learn about the history of our state Capitol, your the Senate Chambers and the Supreme Court.  Although, I have been to the Capitol before, it was a great, educational experience for my daughter and the rest of us in attendedance.

Thankful for days like yesterday!!
