For my TBT post yesterday, I shared this article from 2004.
Right after Milton Kuykendall was elected as our superintendent, the Nepotism concerns and improper hiring began. Some people think that a lack of consequences for wrong doing means nothing wrong ever happened. In this article, you can read what Deputy Attorney General Mike Lanford had to say about the improper hiring of the Treadway Law Firm.
After you read the article, ask yourself this. WHO would have to sue the district in order to right this wrong? Unfortunately, Mississippi seems to have too many laws that are not really enforceable, or too many laws with loopholes. While people may think things are cut and dry, I assure you, they are not that black and white.
