Public Hearings Scheduled for the Ballot 42 and 42-A Public School Funding Intiatives
DeSoto County residents, as well as other Mississippians, will get a chance to speak out on competing initiatives that would dictate how legislators deal with funding for public schools.
The Ballot 42 Initiative will be on the ballot in November as well as the legislators’ alternate ballot 42-A. One of the hearings will be Aug. 13 at the Gale Center in Hernando. If you are unaware of these initiatives, the MAEP or the facts behind the 42 and 42-A initiatives, I encourage you to attend this public hearing.
