SCOTT SAMSEL SPEAKS OUT!
Thanks for your interest in my ordeal with DCS and for your help! Ever since this happened in January ’14, I have chosen to not speak publicly. Everyone has had 14 months to speculate about or spin this story …… Usually based on 2nd or 3rd hand hear say and no facts or evidence. Now that all of the depositions have been taken, I think it’s appropriate that some facts be injected into the conversation. So, every 2-3 days you will receive a copy of one of the depositions.
The deposition I am sharing below came from the Executive Director of the MHSAA (Mississippi High School Activities Association), Mr. Don Hinton. Principal Allyson Killough claimed that the MHSAA Director advised her directly that Coach Samsel should be terminated. Principal Killough also accused Scott of playing ineligible players and having constant recruiting violations. She wasn’t the only one in the county to make these accusations. Now, everyone can see straight from Executive Director Don Hinton’s own words what the truth really is.
Secondly, I am going to release a page from Scott’s attorney that states Coach Samsel only taught one class for one 9 weeks period per year. The next document will reflect how the district has been falsifying information to the state. They entered his schedule into the state’s MSIS system as though he was teaching a full load of classes. Coach Samsel is not the only coach this has been done for, and OBHS is not the only school in the district doing this either. Teachers and coaches do NOT enter their schedules into the system. There is not one, single person responsible for this. This takes multiple people to do, and I hold the leadership at the county office responsible. More on this to come, but for now, I will leave you with the attached documents to read.
